About The Position

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full-Time Sous Chef to work at Yankee Hill Village located at 8401 South 33rd Street, Lincoln, NE 68516. Yankee Hill Village has 47 independent living, 59 assisted living and 16 memory support apartment homes. The schedule is generally 6:00am-2:00pm each Sunday and Thursday, and 7:00am-3:00pm each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week, including holidays. Availability to work the lunch/dinner shift (10:30am-7:00pm) as needed is a plus. This is not an entry level position. This position will pay up to $25.00/hour. Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

Requirements

Two (2) years of cooking experience above the level of fast food/fast casual dining is required.
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) or willing to obtain is required (Immanuel will pay for the training).
At least 1 year of supervisory/training/mentor experience in a kitchen setting is required.
Minimum age of 19 years old is required.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

Availability to work the lunch/dinner shift (10:30am-7:00pm) as needed is a plus.

Responsibilities

All types of food preparation, including yet not limited to baking, grilling, stove-top and oven cooking; and cleaning the kitchen.
May be assigned to oversee progress of kitchen staff abilities, kitchen projects or special events, certain aspects of food preparation in the kitchen, inventory management and oversees the kitchen function when the Team Lead of Food & Nutrition Services is not available.
