About The Position

The Sous Chef supports the culinary department by providing leadership and operational oversight to ensure exceptional food quality and consistency. This role partners closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to deliver outstanding guest experiences while maintaining Four Seasons standards.

Requirements

  • Strong culinary skills with experience in high-volume or banquet (BQT) environments
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-focused mindset
  • Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Support daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards
  • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation techniques
  • Lead, coach, and develop culinary team members to foster a high-performing kitchen environment
  • Maintain quality and portion control systems to ensure consistency across all offerings
  • Monitor incoming food products to ensure adherence to purchasing and quality specifications
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times
  • Contribute to efficient kitchen processes and continuous operational improvements
