About The Position

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Sous Chef in our Dietary Department at Baptist Medical Center Clay, located on Fleming Island. This is a full-time opportunity with various shifts. As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supervising food service associates and grill cooks in the preparation and service of food to patients in a safe and sanitary manner, delegating job duties to associates from start to end of their assigned shift, being accountable for the operation and quality/quantity of food in area on a daily basis, displaying excellent customer service skills, understanding and maintaining proficiency on all cooking equipment in area, and teaching associates the appropriate production charts and HACAAP logs. This position requires a Manager Level Serve Safe Certification, or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire.

Requirements

• Less than 1 Year of Cooking Experience - Required
• 1-2 Year of Supervisory Experience - Required
• High School Diploma - Required
• Manager Level Serve Safe Certification, or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire
