About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Sous Chef to join their team at Windrose on Hudson, a Riverside Conference Experience. This role involves assisting the Executive Chef in food preparation, coordinating kitchen staff, and ensuring food quality and safety standards are met. The Sous Chef will also be responsible for managing kitchen operations in the absence of management and interacting with customers to ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Assist Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods.
Coordinate activities of cooks and other food service associates.
Assume responsibility for kitchen and food service associates in absence of the management team.
Cook and prepare foods utilizing approved recipes and following prescribed production standards.
Ensure all deadlines are met in food production based on production orders.
Properly store foods in designated areas following all corporate, State, and Federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area.
Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
Interact with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Relay relevant comments directly to supervisor.
Demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers.
Consistently exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service hours.
Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies.
Track product production, consumption, and waste.
Inform supervisor when supplies or product are low.
Assist with other functions and duties as assigned.
Be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
