About The Position

Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is currently looking for a Sous Chef to join our team. Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is a revolutionized dining, drinking and entertainment establishment across from Delta Center in Fountain Plaza at The Gateway. Owned and operated by Las Vegas-headquartered Carver Road Hospitality, the complex will feature a restaurant, three bars, 400-square-feet of LED screens, private karaoke and golf simulator rooms, a central nightclub and a cocktail lounge with bowling. Open seven days a week, the restaurant will serve American bar and grill food favorites along with more eclectic offerings and playfully crafted desserts, all freshly prepared in the full kitchen.

  • Is professional in all verbal and written communication with guests, employees, vendors, and ownership.
  • Candidate must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Candidate must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Is a Certified Food Safety Manager

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Handles all food items by washing, chopping, and cutting according to recipe specifications.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station, the kitchen and the entire venue in accordance with Health Department.
  • Labels and stores all product following FIFO and company standards.
  • Required to check production lists and assignments.
  • Communicates product needs to the chefs, and the support staff.
  • Properly sets-up prep station.
  • Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  • Attends and participates in any training sessions, departmental meetings, and daily pre-service meetings.
  • Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Carver Road Hospitality Employee Handbook.
