About The Position

The Hilton Columbus/Polaris is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to assist our Executive Chef in our restaurant and bar, 17Arrows Craft Kitchen and Bar. This position will open availability, overseeing the entire execution of our restaurant and bar, taking pride and ownership in managing this exciting venue. The Hilton Columbus Polaris, located in the vibrant Polaris Fashion Place District, is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Sous Chef to assist our Executive Chef in managing all aspects of the Food and Beverage department. This includes overseeing our restaurant and bar, 17 Arrows Craft Kitchen and Bar, any banquet functions during your shift and our Executive Lounge.

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years experience in a scratch kitchen as a Sous Chef or in a supervisory role
• Open availability to work

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the entire execution of our restaurant and bar
• Managing all aspects of the Food and Beverage department
• Overseeing our restaurant and bar, 17 Arrows Craft Kitchen and Bar, any banquet functions during your shift and our Executive Lounge
• Assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of managing the kitchen and kitchen personnel
• Ensuring the quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with standards
• Assist in coordinating the purchase of all food and develop menus
• Maintaining approved food costs and labor costs
