Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar culinary role, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or community setting
Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and sanitation standards
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
Passion for providing exceptional dining experiences and supporting resident well-being

Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting daily menus that meet nutritional standards and accommodate residents' dietary needs
Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes are served in a timely and professional manner
Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the kitchen
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Support special events and catering services as needed
Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure resident satisfaction
