About The Position

Eurest is hiring a full-time Sous Chef at RTX in Tucson, Arizona. The Sous Chef helps the Executive Chef prepare and cook food, coordinates cooks and other food-service associates, and assumes responsibility for the kitchen and food-service associates when the Executive Chef is absent. The role requires catering experience. The fixed pay rate is $23.50 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary. There are no nights or weekends. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.

Catering experience required.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Cook and prepare food according to approved recipes and production standards, meeting deadlines based on production orders.
Supervise hourly food-service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action as appropriate.
Store food in designated areas according to corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils; thoroughly clean the workstation before leaving; and keep display equipment clean during meal service.
Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner and relay relevant information to the supervisor.
Understand daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers.
Keep up with peak production and service hours.
Monitor inventory and deliveries of products and supplies; track production, consumption, and waste; and inform the supervisor when supplies or products are low.
Perform other duties as assigned.
