About The Position

Sodexo is growing! We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. This position is a full-time role. You will be offered a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to cook healthy and appealing menus for consumers. 21 -23/H Monday - Friday 5am - 2pm

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • High-volume cooking experience.
  • Catering experience.
  • Ability to maintain sanitation rules to the highest standard.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Experience ensuring high-quality results.
  • Experience meeting food safety, HACCP, and OHS standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Red Seal certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef and team to successfully coordinate and direct all retail food and services.
  • Prepare meals following standardized recipes and according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and serve meals with attractive and high-quality preparation.
  • Work within a set budget to reduce waste, improve production, safety and sanitation in the food services.
  • Participate in menu planning.
  • Estimate quantities and requisition supplies of food.
  • Complete all HACCP related documentation provided by management.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.
