We are hiring immediately for a full time SOUS CHEF position. This role involves assisting the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods, coordinating the activities of cooks and other food-service associates, and assuming responsibility for the kitchen in the Executive Chef's absence. The position requires adherence to approved recipes, production standards, and strict food safety and sanitation procedures. The Sous Chef will also supervise hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, and counseling. Interaction with customers to resolve complaints and accurate explanation of menu items are also key aspects of the role. The position requires monitoring inventory, deliveries, product production, consumption, and waste, and informing supervisors of low supplies.
