About The Position
Théa, a Mediterranean Rooftop Restaurant, is seeking a Sous Chef. Named by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the World’s Best New Hotel Restaurants, Théa is rooted in the rhythm of the Mediterranean, where afternoons effortlessly drift into the evening. The menu moves with ease from vibrant mezze to house-made pastas and bold, shareable plates, with every dish designed to bring people together around the table. Amid the excitement surrounding Knox Street’s transformative new mixed-use destination, the Dallas location will further define the brand with a striking two-story space. Building on its Phoenix roots, Théa Dallas introduces a new, health-forward Mediterranean lunch experience, offering a flexible yet polished setting for everything from quick weekday lunches to leisurely, sunlit afternoons overlooking the Katy Trail.
Requirements
- 3+ years high-volume restaurant management experience
- Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations
- An open, curious mind with a desire to deliver a tailored guest experience with a hospitality every time mindset
- Regularly communicates and collaborates with Culinary Partners and consultants for operational and menu changes
- Highly organized multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and accommodate changes in the industry
- Professional, yet comfortable with candid & open to and acting upon feedback – all with the guest and employee experience top of mind
- Highly responsive and collaborative, a team player who approaches work without ego
Responsibilities
- Manage shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, and planning
- Create memorable dining experiences by exceeding guest expectations
- Ensure product quality and restaurant cleanliness
- Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment
- Manage on-the-fly requests with ease and poise
- Coach, lead and develop restaurant team
