About The Position

Beztak Senior Living is seeking to hire a Sous Chef to join their team. The Sous Chef will be responsible for preparing and assisting the Executive Chef with kitchen operations, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or an equivalent combination of education and 2-3 years’ experience in food preparation
• One to three years of related experience
• Current ServSafe Manager Certification
• Candidates must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents.
• Assist the Executive Chef with overseeing daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain the highest quality food products and service for seniors.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and regulatory agencies as they relate to Food Service.
• Manage the entire kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence.
• Ensure each piece of food is safe, prepared correctly and tasty.
• Operating a company vehicle or personal vehicle (as required) to perform job duties.
• Working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, having effective interpersonal skills.
