Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar culinary role, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or community setting
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Passion for providing exceptional dining experiences and supporting resident well-being

  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting daily menus that meet nutritional standards and accommodate residents' dietary needs
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes are served in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Support special events and catering services as needed
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure resident satisfaction
