About The Position

As a Sous Chef in our Commissary, you’ll play an essential role in supporting daily production, large-scale catering, and signature events. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the kitchen while also building management and operational experience. You’ll partner closely with the Executive Chef and Senior Sous Chef to ensure smooth execution, consistent quality, and a strong, team-first culture. Requirements

  • Experience in a professional kitchen, catering, or high-volume foodservice operation
  • Ability to balance hands-on culinary work with team leadership responsibilities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear, respectful communication and teamwork skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to support multiple areas of production
  • Interest in growing into expanded leadership responsibilities
  • Basic computer skills for kitchen systems and communication

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and participate in daily food production, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation standards
  • Support multiple production areas and step into different kitchen functions as needed
  • Contribute to catering and event execution, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Partner with leadership on menu planning, ordering, and inventory management
  • Help coordinate kitchen workflow by assigning and guiding cooks and prep cooks
  • Maintain consistency across recipes, preparation techniques, and plating standards
  • Step into broader kitchen leadership responsibilities in support of the Executive Chef
  • Monitor food safety, sanitation, and overall kitchen organization
  • Support training and development through coaching, feedback, and daily team engagement
  • Foster a respectful, collaborative, and accountability-driven kitchen culture
  • Communicate effectively across teams to support seamless operations
