About The Position

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our culinary team, with opportunities for a Sous Chef, Dinner Sauté Cook, Brunch Sauté Cook, and Brunch Tournant Cook. As key players on our chef team move on, we are looking for individuals to learn and step into their roles. We are dedicated to creating the best food in the northern suburbs and operate Tuesday-Saturday from 9am - 8pm, and Sundays from 9am - 2pm.

Requirements

  • Sous Chef: Salaried Position
  • Sous Chef: Experience with menu development, costing, recipe writing, ordering and receiving, inventory, advanced communication skills, teaching skills
  • Sous Chef: Needs to have a passion for creative, delicious, and seasonal food
  • Sous Chef: Needs to be serious about creating and maintaining a positive work environment and taking care of team members
  • Sous Chef: Taking pride in working in a clean environment with functioning equipment and maintaining organization
  • Sous Chef: Fluency in breakfast and dinner food.
  • Dinner or Brunch Sauté Cook; Brunch Tournant Cook: Ability to follow recipes, work independently, advanced knife skills and can own station
  • Dinner or Brunch Sauté Cook; Brunch Tournant Cook: Sense of urgency.
  • Dinner or Brunch Sauté Cook; Brunch Tournant Cook: Good time management.
  • Dinner or Brunch Sauté Cook; Brunch Tournant Cook: Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Champion Lateral Service - Actively look for opportunities to support and serve other members of the team
  • Learn - Take advantage of regular opportunities to learn about products, techniques, and new skills
  • Own The Individual Guest Experience - Each dish represents an individual guest experience, take ownership in delighting each guest
  • Set the Next Shift Up for Success - Leave your areas of responsibility better than you found them
  • Deliver Perfect Recipes- Meticulously follow specs while ensuring proper seasoning and presentation of each dish
  • Own the Cleanliness of the Prep area & Coolers- Work clean and take pride in how your area is maintained
  • Communicate Product Needs - Ensure effective communication regarding prep & product needs to chef and prep lead
  • Work with chef to develop station specific specials
  • Ability and willingness to work all stations
