About The Position

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, organization, and exceptional food execution. This role works closely with the chefs and kitchen team to oversee expo operations, maintain sanitation standards, assist with food preparation for events and parties, manage inventory and ordering, and provide hands-on support wherever needed in the kitchen. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, fast-paced, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant kitchen experience required
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily expo operations to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality food service (sidework, stocking, etc); Scheduling expos
  • Coordinate communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams during service
  • Support kitchen workflow and assist chefs during busy shifts and peak periods
  • Ensure all food is prepared and plated according to company standards
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, organization, and sanitation
  • Ensure compliance with health department regulations and food safety standards
  • Monitor cleaning schedules and ensure completion of daily and weekly cleaning tasks
  • Assist in maintaining equipment cleanliness and kitchen organization
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to leadership
  • Help receive and organize deliveries
  • Minimize waste through proper storage, rotation, and inventory practices
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of party and catering food orders
  • Ensure banquet and event food is prepared accurately and on schedule
  • Work alongside chefs to support prep execution for large events and busy weekends
  • Provide hands-on leadership and support to kitchen staff
  • Help train and reinforce kitchen procedures and expectations
  • Promote teamwork, urgency, and a positive kitchen culture
  • Step into various kitchen roles as needed to support operations
