About The Position

We are seeking a warm, professional, and service-driven Culinary Professional to provide exceptional food service and hospitality in our doctors’ lounge. This role is responsible for preparing, presenting, replenishing, and serving food and beverages while creating a welcoming environment for our physicians and guests. The ideal candidate brings a genuine smile, a positive personality, strong attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. The Culinary Professional is expected to model hospitality excellence by creating a comfortable, polished, and welcoming lounge experience. Every interaction should reflect professionalism, respect, warmth, and a commitment to outstanding service. Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have an opening for Rock Star Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager who shares our passion for Food, Service and Leadership. We are seeking a Culinary Leader, with a mentoring management style contributing to a culture of fun, creativity and growth. If you have the CULINARY CHOPS and passion for current, trending and diverse menus, and are ready to hit the ground running in a fast paced, multi-outlet setting, we would like to hear from you! Must have solid kitchen leadership experience. Experience desired in a Contract Dining Food Service setting such as Hospital, School, College, Senior Living or Corporate Dining accounts. A strong Supervisor with solid Culinary Training, ready for the next step would be ideal.

Requirements

  • 3-5+Plus Years in a Supervisory Experience or Sous Chef
  • High Volume background
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Restaurant Management knowledge
  • Thorough knowledge of Menu implementation with STUNNING presentation ideas
  • Catering Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary Degree strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, friendly, and professional service to doctors and lounge guests at all times.
  • Prepare, plate, set up, and replenish food and beverage items according to established standards.
  • Maintain an inviting, clean, organized, and well-stocked doctors’ lounge throughout the shift.
  • Greet physicians and guests with a smile and a helpful attitude, anticipating needs whenever possible.
  • Ensure food is presented attractively and served at the proper temperature.
  • Monitor inventory levels, communicate supply needs, and assist with ordering or restocking as directed.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection-prevention guidelines.
  • Clean and sanitize counters, serving areas, equipment, tables, storage areas, and workstations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to requests, concerns, or special service needs.
  • Partner with culinary, nutrition services, and facility teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
