About The Position

Impact Workforce Solutions is hiring for Legrand in Charlotte, NC. We are currently looking for a Sourcing Specialist. The Sourcing Specialist at plays a key role in supporting strategic sourcing initiatives for a global manufacturing company. This position ensures that products are cost-effective, timely, high quality, and compliant with relevant standards. Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, the role demands strong expertise in supplier management, compliance assurance, and project execution. The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers, ensuring continuity of supply to meet company objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Management or equivalent experience
  • 3 years’ experience purchasing materials
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Assent, Ecovadis, Jagger, and MRP/ERP software a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers through market research, benchmarking, and RFx processes (RFI/RFQ/RFP).
  • Lead supplier negotiations to ensure cost, delivery, quality, and specification targets are met.
  • Maintain and manage supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and performance.
  • Collaborate with sourcing lead to conduct RFQs and analyze supplier quotations utilizing Legrand LCC tool.
  • Collaborate with sourcing lead to evaluate supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including product development, engineering, finance, operations, quality, site sourcing, and supply chain (purchasing) to implement supplier strategies that support the product lifecycle and minimize supply risks.
  • Collaborate with DPC and LNCA CSR teams and stay informed on evolving compliance regulations (e.g., PFAS, ESG, ethical sourcing) and ensure supplier adherence.
  • Review and verify supplier material declarations, including chemical composition and compliance with REACH, RoHS, and other applicable regulations. Maintain accurate compliance data in the ERP system for new products.
  • Evaluate supplier performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, CRS, and cost.
  • Support supplier contract activities (draft, review, execution).
  • Lead part approval, coordinating quality inspections and securing approval from operations, quality, and engineering.
  • Conduct other tasks applicable to sourcing as needed
