The Procurement Sourcing Specialist III is responsible for developing sourcing strategy development, execution, contract negotiations and management for spend across indirect categories, with strong specialized knowledge of a specific category portfolio.

Requirements

  • Sourcing expert – strong experience with sourcing process, supplier management, contract negotiations and procure to pay operations
  • Experience with ERP systems, spend analytics, eSourcing, and contract management systems required
  • Excellent category-specific sourcing and category management skills in key portfolios of spend in Indirect (e.g., Clinical Services)
  • Expert understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes and strategies
  • Experience negotiating agreements/contracts with suppliers
  • Understanding of procurement processes, tools, and best practices
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment – a self-starter who looks for ways to improve existing processes
  • Strong customer service orientation, keen to deliver on internal customer needs
  • Analytical thinker who makes decisions using data and insights – will need to prepare analysis to develop sourcing strategy/scenarios/savings
  • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement/sourcing experience
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision making capabilities
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, spend analytics, and procurement tools
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to build consensus and collaborate across global matrix organizations
  • Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and process improvements
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Fluency in English required
  • Comprehensive understanding of procurement best practices, processes and methodologies
  • Experience with continuous improvement/lean methodologies
  • Demonstrated negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPM) are desirable
  • Proven success executing strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management
  • Experience working in regulated industries like life sciences, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic and tactical sourcing activities with spend above but not limited to $1MM across multiple categories
  • Manage contract lifecycle process (including uploading contracts, developing standard templates, and monitoring/tracking expiry)
  • Manage catalog governance and procurement operations
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms for assigned spend categories
  • Research potential vendors, develop and execute RFPs.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation is translated to RFP and contracts as appropriate
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking to inform sourcing decisions
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing delivering and record annual P&L savings
  • Support projects assigned for various sourcing activities
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness
