Requirements

  • Proven experience executing sourcing projects within Facilities, Services, or related indirect spend categories.
  • Strong RFx execution, supplier communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to operate independently within a governance-driven, tiered sourcing model.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and execution judgment.
  • This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
  • Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Facilities Management or services-based contracting.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion.
  • Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
  • Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate.
  • Ensures compliance with Company policies regarding Engineering/Lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality and safety.
  • Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner.
  • Effectively work with other staff to maximize productivity for the project / program.
  • Spearheads research and development of new technologies, as appropriate, and ensures that newly created processes, designs, and/or methodologies are incorporated into Applied Materials products/services, and/or disseminated to other areas as needed.
  • Execute end-to-end sourcing projects for Facilities & Services CapEx and OpEx, including RFx development, supplier communication, bid evaluation, and award support; does not define category strategy.
  • Apply appropriate sourcing approaches (RFP, benchmarking, targeted negotiation) based on defined tiering and risk frameworks.
  • Serve as the primary execution point of contact for facilities stakeholders and suppliers during sourcing events.
  • Support commercial negotiations in alignment with approved frameworks; partner with Legal and Contracting CoE as required.
  • Ensure sourcing documentation, approvals, and handoffs are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
  • Embed risk awareness into sourcing execution, including supplier, service continuity, and labor-related considerations.
  • Support post-award transitions to ensure continuity of facilities services.
  • Build and maintain deep specialization in Facilities & Services sourcing; contribute to playbooks, templates, and continuous improvement efforts.
