About The Position

Ensure that the appropriate supplier base is developed and managed to ensure that Business expectations are met in terms of Total Costs of Ownership, Service and Quality with a special focus on Home Cleaning Chemicals raw materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or associate’s degree in supply chain management with equivalent experience
  • 5–7 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing and/or processing environment, with strong functional expertise in sourcing and procurement.
  • Internationally oriented specialist with in-depth knowledge and experience in purchasing, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Familiar with kdc/one’s key commodities, including raw materials such as chemicals and plastics, as well as packaging and transportation.
  • Fluency in English is a prerequisite
  • Experience in international organizations, with the ability to manage cross-cultural dynamics, work across multiple areas and functions, handle several projects simultaneously, and navigate conflicting priorities.
  • Able to introduce innovative ideas and approaches to the company, while demonstrating consistency in the execution of tasks and plans.
  • Demonstrates a proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Results-oriented and committed to delivering on promises, with a strong determination to achieve outcomes and ensure quality through strategic insight.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience within the household or home cleaning product category will be considered a strong asset.
  • SAP expertise is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with suppliers to meet current and future business expectations and ensure that the plant needs are met in full, in terms of price, service level and quality (lowest TCO).
  • Assist in supplier selection, qualification, and onboarding processes in collaboration with Quality and R&D teams.
  • Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies for chemical ingredients used in home cleaning products (e.g., surfactants, solvents, fragrances, preservatives).
  • Support the resolution of recurrent service, quality issues within his/her supplier base
  • Plan and execute a yearly saving plan leveraging all the opportunities and deploying the Group Procurement strategy
  • Contribute to sustainability and compliance initiatives by evaluating suppliers’ adherence to regulatory and environmental standards.
  • Establish and maintain professional internal and external relationships to generate good customer service and create a positive image of Northern Labs Supply Chain to promote and increase our business with the customer.
  • Ability to analyze data and convert to supply chain needs.
  • Superior organizational skills, high level attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently while managing concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle shifting deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • High level of commitment, sound judgement, great follow-through, and initiative.
  • Problem solving and analysis, careful and systematic evaluation of information, to identify issues, root causes, and possible alternatives and consequences
