About The Position

Trident Consulting is seeking a Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement for one of our clients, a global leader in business and technology services. This role involves creating and managing Purchase Orders (POs) in Oracle, reviewing requisitions, confirming supplier setup, and supporting planners with status updates. The specialist will also manage Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs), handle releases, expediting, and payment follow-up, and support farm-out and repair activities. Communication with suppliers via email and calls (Teams) is essential for requesting quotes, expediting materials, clarifying requirements, and maintaining documentation.

Requirements

Oracle OSCAR and/or Oracle PASCAL
Hands-on Buyer side use (not just exposure)
Comfort navigating multiple modules/screens in Oracle
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Microsoft Outlook and Teams proficiency
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sourcing

Responsibilities

Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in Oracle
Review and validate requisitions (PORs) before PO creation
Confirm supplier setup and availability in Oracle
Navigate multiple Oracle screens to check PO history, review inventory and supply/demand data (view-only)
Support planners with accurate status updates
Support production meetings by preparing PO and part status outside of Oracle (typically in Excel)
Manage Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs): Regular interaction with ~5 suppliers (out of ~9 total)
Handle releases, expediting, and payment follow-up for BPOs
Support farm-out and repair activities, interacting with ~20 suppliers over short cycles
Communicate with suppliers via email and calls (Teams) to request quotes (RFQs), expedite materials, clarify requirements, and maintain documentation for auditability and PO attachments
