About The Position

We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. This is a 6-month, fixed-term contract position with benefits. Successful candidate should be able to work on site 5 days a week. As a Talent Acquisition professional, you’ll advise and partner with hiring managers and business leaders to source, screen and hire the best and the brightest to design, test, manufacture and launch reusable spaceflight systems. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in years of relevant recruiting experience
  • 5+ years of full cycle in-house recruiting experience
  • Broad engineering background including Software Development, Fluid Systems, Thermal, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, and Propulsion Engineering to support our space mission projects
  • Proactive and professional communication skills; demonstrated ability to influence hiring decisions and advise business leaders
  • Demonstrated success actively sourcing talent using a variety of platforms and methods
  • Proficiency with utilizing data analytics to drive recruitment strategies and outcomes (familiarity with Tableau is a plus)
  • Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

  • CIR, ACIR, or similar industry certifications
  • Proficiency with Workday applicant tracking system
  • Recruiting or deep technical understanding of the positions represented in Manufacturing, Defense, Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Nuclear Power, Technology, Aviation industries
  • Experience managing exempt and nonexempt positions

Responsibilities

  • Own the candidate sourcing and interview process across highly technical engineering roles, from initial application to pre-offer
  • Act as subject expert and strategic talent advisor, owning job posting and advertisement
  • Develop sourcing models and plans to generate talent pools, networks and pipelines; build and execute robust search strategies, calibrate candidates and assessment strategies with hiring managers
  • Develop prospects into candidates. Engage, sustain relationships, screen, and present to hiring teams.
  • Collaborate with, mentor, and develop other members of the Talent Acquisition Team
  • Lead and participate in scoping discussions, weekly tag-ups, and candidate debriefs
  • Prepare status reports and lead update meetings on active searches
  • Dive deep with an inquisitive approach into the technical requirements of job requisitions
  • Remain up to date on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition
