Requirements

  • 4-year supply chain degree with 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain, sourcing, category management, and/or procurement
  • Demonstrated delivery of Supplier Management and Supplier Performance management that result in measurable valuable outcomes (e.g. innovation, supply chain stability, sustainability, cost savings)
  • Strong analytical capabilities

  • Business and financial acumen
  • Strong relationship / strategic partnering skills
  • Skilled in using computer software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Team
  • Previous experience working as a Buyer or Supply/Demand Planner

Responsibilities

  • Overall accountability for managing a subset of supplier relationships across the Packaging Category within a defined region.
  • Responsible for the planning, organization, directing and controlling of the supply of packaging which is produced for our customer(s) which is used within their restaurants (QSR segmentation).
  • Deploy and manage a consistent global supplier engagement framework, supplier performance metrics, and sourcing strategies.
  • Manage assured supply of packaging products, supplier development, supplier selection, supplier performance and capacity and contingency management.
  • Collaborate internally with the Strategic Sourcing, Commercial Delivery, and Category Management functions as well as Quality and SIPD.
  • Provide support as a subject matter expert to our customer when necessary.
  • Inventory management of suppliers that deliver uninterrupted supply of core and promotional product to the system at a level of quality, innovation, and cost, consistent with the customer’s standards and expectations.
  • Support Supplier Relationships programs across the supplier base in the defined region.
  • Manage raw material and risk management aspects of the packaging supply chain both at strategic level and with regard to supply contingency and pricing fluctuations.
  • Lead Capacity/Contingency gap identification.
  • Implement supplier strategies against the product category roadmaps to meet overall category needs and the customer’s long term business objectives.
  • Serve as the escalation point for supplier issues across the business.
  • Collaborate with internal customers especially Procurement Services and Product Management during the strategic sourcing review process to deliver against defined objectives. Key responsibilities in this area include supplier selection, supplier onboarding, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Manage and implement overall supplier capacity requirements to support the product strategies and roadmaps inclusive of any necessary supplier investment strategies.
  • Manage execution of supplier contract management in partnership with Procurement Services.
