About The Position

Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, designs and delivers customized power distribution and protection systems, including relay and control panels, medium-voltage switchgear, and enclosures. The Sourcing Manager will be based in Dallas, Texas, or Austin, Texas, and must work on-site 100% of the time; remote work is not available. Travel of up to 20–30% may be required for supplier engagement, qualification, and business operations. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is part of the global sourcing organization and is responsible for supplier development, sourcing strategy, and supply continuity. The Sourcing Manager leads supplier selection, contract negotiations, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and outsourcing coordination from new product introduction through high-volume production, supporting on-time delivery, scalability, and profitability. Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into an independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the spin occurs, this position will support Axiom, which focuses on critical digital infrastructure and end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing roles.
Strong experience negotiating supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and commercial terms.
Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships at a regional or global level.
Experience leading RFQs, supplier evaluations, bidding events, and supplier selection processes.
Strong analytical skills, including experience with cost modeling, TCO analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar platforms.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

ISM certification, including CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management).
Additional certifications such as CSCP, CIPS, or CPM.
Experience in manufacturing, electronics, industrial, automotive, data center, or EMS environments.
Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, category management, and supplier development.
Experience with should-cost analysis, cost reduction, and value engineering initiatives.
Direct sourcing experience for sheet metal, fabricated assemblies, mechanical components, electrical components, or other direct materials.
Background supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and high-volume production programs.
Experience implementing supplier risk mitigation, dual-source strategies, and supply continuity plans.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute sourcing strategies to support business growth and meet program objectives.
Lead supplier selection, RFQs, bid analysis, and contract negotiations for new and existing programs.
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Finance teams to support NPI and production readiness.
Drive supplier capacity planning, supply continuity, and risk mitigation initiatives.
Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost metrics.
Conduct cost analysis, should-cost modeling, and value engineering activities to improve profitability.
Resolve supplier escalations, quality concerns, and material availability issues to maintain production schedules.
Lead strategic initiatives including dual sourcing, supplier development, inventory optimization, and capacity expansion.
Coordinate outsourcing activities from NPI through high-volume production.
