About The Position

As Sourcing Manager, Strategic Sourcing, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving innovation, efficiency, and value across our global supply base. This is a high‑impact position with direct visibility to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams. You will lead strategic sourcing initiatives across a defined supplier portfolio, driving excellence in service, quality, and cost. You will own a portfolio of primarily sustaining business, while also taking ownership of new products as they transition from development into production, ensuring seamless supplier integration and long-term performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development.
• Bachelors Degree
• Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and services.

Nice To Haves

• AS400 or ERP experience
• Power BI or similar applications
• Work in a manufacturing environment
• Work in medical device or other highly regulated industry

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies across key categories, including metals, plastics, and electronics, aligning with Stryker’s mission and global category goals while optimizing supplier performance across service, quality, and cost.
• Set strategic direction for key supplier partnerships.
• Serve as the escalation point for supplier issues, including quality concerns, dispute resolution, and commercial implications of product field actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in supplier capabilities to meet both short-term and long-term business needs.
• Lead global sourcing projects and strategic initiatives beyond the sourcing function, including program management efforts.
• Own supplier strategy for sustaining products while leading the transition and sourcing ownership of new products as they move into full-scale production.
• Engage confidently with senior leadership and executive stakeholders across Stryker and supplier organizations.
