About The Position

The Sourcing Manager for Universal Studios Hollywood is responsible for the acquisition of materials at the most economic price possible, considering commodities market fluctuations, shipping and raw goods prices from both U.S.-based and global vendors which may entail purchasing materials in one country to be shipped to another country across the globe. This position is responsible for the timely delivery of goods and may source a variety of categories and services used in the Universal Kids Resort hotel and theme park. Collaborate with business units to optimize strategic sourcing efforts, total cost of ownership analysis, and develop negotiation and pricing strategies for new projects to achieve optimal value at or below budget. Manage the RFx process, working with internal stakeholders across all lines of business to understand key requirements, prioritize projects, and execute in a timely manner. Identify and develop long term category strategies for Entertainment, Facilities, Construction, and other assigned commodity groups that can be used globally and nationwide. Identify critical long-term issues that could affect the planning and decision-making process. Monitor trends, forecast potential fluctuations in product availability, and create strategies to ensure continued delivery of goods in support of ongoing operations. Periodically review performance with suppliers and business partners to review project performance, procure to pay (P2P) opportunities, and drive continuous improvement. Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances, ensuring to follow established company policies and procedures. Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a high level of business acumen and integrity.
  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through various levels of management.
