About The Position

The Sourcing Manager assists with the development, execution, and maintenance of procurement strategy for large, enterprise professional services and consulting vendors. This role involves advising internal business partners, vendors, and other strategic staff to ensure efficient procurement methods and contract negotiations. The manager negotiates and reviews large, strategic consulting contracts, evaluates suppliers and proposals, and monitors market trends and internal organization priorities. They interact with senior management on various projects, link procurement strategies to overall business strategy, and coordinate projects across business lines. Additionally, the Sourcing Manager implements process improvements, including the use of technology to drive efficiency, manages relationships with key suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes, and ensures clear definitions of benefits from category projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management or logistics, or equivalent work experience
  • At least one year of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in creation and/or implementation of a category strategy for enterprise-wide expenditures
  • Thorough knowledge of category management in areas such as consulting, temporary labor, business process outsourcing
  • Ability to manage relationships with large, strategic vendors
  • Well-developed critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and senior level executives inside and outside the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities
