A day in the life… As the Sourcing Manager for MRO and CapEx, you'll be the driving force behind sourcing strategies for essential operational and capital projects. This includes MRO items (e.g., spare parts, tools, maintenance supplies) and CapEx procurement (e.g., equipment, facility upgrades, and large-scale investments). You’ll partner with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution while managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field or 4+ years of related experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, involving MRO or CapEx categories.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and deliver cost savings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • A master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or related industries.
  • Familiarity with sourcing tools/software and capital expenditure management practices.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale CapEx projects or optimizing MRO procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategies: Create and implement sourcing strategies for MRO materials and CapEx projects, ensuring alignment with operational needs and company goals. Identify cost-saving opportunities and strategies that enhance efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.
  • Supplier Management and Negotiation: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors, fostering collaboration and reliability. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable agreements for both short-term projects and long-term needs.
  • Project Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure CapEx and MRO procurement supports plant operations and facility projects. Act as a key liaison for managing timelines, budgets, and specifications for capital projects and ongoing operational needs.
  • Risk Management and Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities. Develop contingency plans to ensure supply chain continuity for critical MRO and CapEx requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements that reduce costs, enhance supplier performance, and improve procurement efficiency. Use analytics and metrics to assess supplier performance and ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Compliance and Sustainability: Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals for MRO and CapEx procurement. Advocate for sustainable practices in vendor selection and material sourcing.
  • If visiting our manufacturing plants, you will be expected to: Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards. Complete and follow FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensure consumer safety, and support the plant’s food safety and quality objectives. Promptly report and take appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor, in accordance with your role and responsibilities. Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the company’s Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.
