About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sourcing Manager-IT Professional Services. In this role, the successful candidate as key member of IT Strategic Sourcing team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives including analyzing spend data, performing market analysis, leading the end to end RFx process. You'll collaborate closely with Medical Center IT Missions (MCIT), IT Finance, Legal, and Vendor leadership to ensure alignment with NYU's goals and objectives, emphasizing quality, innovation, competitiveness, efficiencies, and cost savings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating and managing MSA (Master Services Agreements), SOW (Statements of Work), Work Orders, etc. related to IT Professional services. IT Professional Service Leader will report to Associate Director IT Sourcing.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years, proven experience in strategic sourcing with a focus on IT Professional Service category.
• Proficiency in core Procurement skills; Stakeholder Management, Supplier Management and Performance, Market Analysis, Financial Analysis (TCO), IT Category Management, Negotiations, Procurement Excellence, etc.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual and multi-year sourcing strategies and plans.
• Collaborate with MCIT stakeholders to understand current and future needs in their respective areas.
• Lead end to end IT Professional sourcing projects (7 Step Strategic Sourcing Process).
• Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key IT Professional Services vendors.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and collaborate with suppliers to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with IT Professional Services vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements including services scope, deliverables, acceptance criteria, service level agreements (SLA), payment structure, and key performance indicators (KPI).
• Provide subject matter expertise on technology contracts and terms including Master Service Agreements, Maintenance and Support Agreements, SoWs, Work Orders, to formulate strategic recommendations that deliver maximum value and achieve the best outcomes for NYU Langone.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging software technologies.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
• Work closely with finance and stakeholders to manage and optimize costs related to IT Professional Services.
• Perform financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to meet/exceed the annual savings targets.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with IT Professional Services category, ensuring business continuity and compliance with policies, procedures, and contracting principles, regulations.
• Carry out all vendor due diligence as required.
• Takes ownership for sourcing issues and actively participates in their resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on sourcing strategies and objectives.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates on sourcing initiatives and performance.
• Participate actively in shaping policies, processes, workflows, and system design and configuration discussions.
