Lead sourcing workstreams across both New Product Development (NPD) and cost reduction initiatives in existing production programs. Operate within nVent’s Engineered Building Solutions (EBS) division, a rapidly growing business formed through recent acquisitions. Where integration of systems, processes, and teams is ongoing. Requiring adaptability, strong cross-functional alignment, and the ability to deliver results in a dynamic, evolving environment. Challenge and optimize existing sourcing strategies by partnering with Buyer/Planners, site teams, and suppliers to identify and implement savings opportunities. Operate effectively in a decentralized environment without direct authority, using influence and collaboration to drive alignment and execution. Act as a bridge between Enterprise Category Sourcing strategies and site-level execution, ensuring consistent communication and adoption across locations. Build strong relationships with site teams to gain access to critical information, validate assumptions, and uncover improvement opportunities. Lead supplier negotiations, cost-out initiatives, and re-sourcing efforts aligned with business objectives. Create structure where needed. Developing tracking tools, establishing reporting cadence, and building communication frameworks to drive visibility and accountability. Identify and implement synergy opportunities across sites, suppliers, and legacy organizations resulting from integration efforts. Operate in a fast-paced, evolving post-acquisition environment. Balancing execution with process development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 5+ years experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, Procurement is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and drive results in cross-functional, decentralized organizations.
  • Strong ownership mentality with the ability to lead initiatives independently in ambiguous and evolving environments.
  • Experience working on both new product sourcing and cost reduction initiatives in production environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge status quo decisions and implement improvements through collaboration.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage Buyer/Planners, Operations, Engineering, and suppliers effectively.
  • Ability to operate effectively with evolving data, leveraging networks and sound judgment to gather insights and inform decisions.
  • Solid negotiation and cost analysis skills with a focus on delivering measurable results.
  • Strong project management capability, including prioritization across competing demands and shifting priorities.
  • Adaptable in dynamic environments with shifting priorities, organizational complexity, and developing processes.
