About The Position

SLB New Energy & Industrial (NEI) is a division of SLB, focusing on energy innovation. NEI's portfolio includes ventures in carbon capture and sequestration, geothermal power, energy storage, sustainable battery-grade lithium, hydrogen, and Data center infrastructure solutions. The Data Center infrastructure solutions business provides innovative and cost-effective solutions for building faster, smarter, and more resilient data centers. Their modular infrastructure solutions scale AI and cloud computing capacity while minimizing capital risk and deployment delays. They help reduce costs, improve lead times, and lower construction risk by standardizing components and relocating labor to controlled offsite environments, ensuring quality and global repeatability. SLB is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Sourcing Lead to manage all sourcing activities for assigned packages within data center construction projects. This role spans from prequalification through recommendation for award. The Sourcing Lead is responsible for ensuring suppliers are technically and commercially qualified, that bid processes are conducted with transparency and discipline, and that selected suppliers meet the project’s safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements. This role requires close coordination with engineering, contracts, and logistics teams to ensure a seamless flow from sourcing into procurement and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or Business Administration. Equivalent sourcing experience in construction or industrial projects may be considered.
  • 10–15 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management for large-scale construction or industrial projects.
  • Proven ability to manage complex bid processes involving multiple stakeholders and disciplines
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of supplier qualification, evaluation, and negotiation practices
  • Experience coordinating between technical, commercial, and logistics teams to align sourcing deliverables with project needs
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience and with Data Center or mission-critical facility procurement is strongly preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent is preferred
  • Training in commercial evaluation or supplier performance management is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop sourcing plans and bidding schedules aligned with project procurement strategy and milestones
  • Identify, prequalify, and maintain a competitive pool of capable suppliers for each scope of supply
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and coordinate clarifications between suppliers and engineering teams
  • Lead commercial evaluations (CBE) and coordinate technical bid evaluations (TBE) with relevant disciplines
  • Consolidate recommendations for award, ensuring full compliance with approval and documentation requirements
  • Support contract negotiations, ensuring commercial terms align with project objectives and risk profile
  • Maintain accurate sourcing trackers, bid registers, and correspondence archives for traceability
