About The Position

We are seeking a Sourcing Coordinator, Product Development to support our sourcing and product development activities for several major North American retail customers. This role is responsible for coordinating product setup, factory purchase orders, pre-production samples, production approvals, and product information while helping keep projects organized and on schedule. This is a hands-on coordination role that requires strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. The Sourcing Coordinator will work closely with our internal teams and factories and will support programs for customers. This is a full-time, 12-month assignment providing coverage during a maternity leave. The assignment has the potential to extend beyond the initial 12-month period based on business needs.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Strong follow-through and ability to independently manage assigned responsibilities
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams, customers, and factories
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • English proficiency is required due to regular communication with our U.S.-based corporate team, U.S. customers, and other English-speaking business partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in sourcing, product development, purchasing, merchandising, apparel/fashion, order management, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or AS400 is an asset, but not required
  • French proficiency is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain product and item information in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and AS400
  • Create and issue factory purchase orders for assigned customer accounts
  • Coordinate pre-production and TOP (Top of Production) samples, including tracking sample status, approvals, and required follow-up
  • Work closely with factories and internal teams to keep product development and production timelines moving forward
  • Create and maintain UPC information and Price Books
  • Review and maintain accurate product, pricing, UPC, item, purchase order, sample, and approval information
  • Proactively follow up with factories and internal teams on outstanding purchase orders, samples, product information, and approvals to help prevent delays
  • Maintain accurate and organized product and production records
  • Provide additional sourcing and product development support as business needs arise
