Cisco Global Supplier Management (GSM) is seeking a motivated Sourcing Commodity Manager for "High Power Lasers, Pump Lasers, CW Lasers, ELSFP". This role is part of a highly impactful and dynamic organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers. The position requires providing industry knowledge and understanding of Optics and Photonics components fabrication technologies and market trends (cost, technology, supply chain ecosystem, etc.). It involves collaborating with Business Unit partners to understand long-term requirements, mapping requirements to the supply base, working to close roadmap gaps, and facilitating optimal component selection. The role includes defining and implementing sourcing decisions aligned with Commodity strategy, performing risk assessment and mitigation plans, and identifying and developing alternate technical solutions. The individual will be part of large, complex programs involving multiple players, locations, and Business Units. Responsibilities include supplier relationship management during development and NPI phases until product release, covering technical, commercial, proto delivery, and quality aspects. The role also involves negotiating and driving all aspects and terms of legal agreements such as NDA, DLA, and SOW to protect and define the development phase. Exceptional data analytics and reporting skills are required, with the ability to translate sophisticated data and requirements into clear technical and business insights.
