About The Position

We are recruiting a Sourcing Analyst to join our Procurement team in Pittsburgh PA. This position reports into the Mechanical Commodity Manager. You will be responsible for executing commodity strategies to improve cost, productivity, quality, and innovation capabilities within the global supply base. As part of this, you will analyze and manage the company’s global commodity spend, assess market conditions, identify opportunities to create value for the company, and align business needs for quality, cost, delivery, and growth.

Requirements

Working knowledge, proficiency, and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
3+ years’ experience in a global operation and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and Data Analytics within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of finance and accounting characteristics of supply chain.
University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent) in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or related field.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Oracle EBS a plus.
ASCM or APICS certification as CSCP, CPIM, CLTD a plus.
ISM certification as CPSM a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and sustain high-efficiency, high-quality domestic and/or global sources of supply for materials and services.
Execute commodity strategies and provide detailed reports, analysis, and sourcing or business-related presentations to staff and management.
Assist in managing the global supply base through development of supplier scorecards and business reviews.
Source a wide range of materials to strengthen the global supply base and support commodity strategies.
Develop RFQs to competitively bid, evaluate, and select potential suppliers.
Manage commodity spend using procurement processes & systems.
Focus on price, quality, delivery, innovation, supply chain efficiency & working capital.
Negotiate, implement, and manage supplier contracts.
Use data analytics, industry benchmarking, and strategic sourcing methodologies to build a robust pipeline of PPV/VAVE cost savings initiatives.
Stay current on new processes, techniques and supplier capabilities using continuous improvement tools.
Lead projects with a cross-functional team and supplier, to successfully implement a commodity strategy, cost savings initiative or transition a source of supply.
Collaborate with Fortive Category Managers to ensure best practices and greatest leverage in procurement, low-cost region sourcing, supplier assessment & management.
Execute outsourcing and dual-sourcing initiatives within commodity space.
