About The Position

This role is responsible for identifying and developing sourcing opportunities within a designated country or region to maximize trading outcomes and support business growth.

Requirements

  • Experience in chemical trading, distribution, or related industry
  • Understanding of sourcing, supply chains, or procurement within a commercial environment
  • Knowledge of (or strong interest in learning) market dynamics within a specific country or region
  • Ability to understand supplier production processes and capabilities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and commercially driven mindset
  • Creative thinker with a practical approach to problem-solving
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required

Responsibilities

  • Identifying, evaluating, and establishing new supplier relationships
  • Researching and sourcing products in response to internal business needs
  • Supporting negotiations with suppliers on pricing, terms, and agreements
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and industry stakeholders
  • Representing the business with trade organizations, embassies, and industry associations
  • Developing and executing cost-effective strategies to establish long-term supply partnerships
  • Monitoring market trends and identifying new commercial opportunities
  • Communicating supplier insights and market intelligence to internal teams
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing data and processes are accurate and up to date
  • Initiating actions to capitalize on emerging opportunities and improve operational efficiency
  • Creating and maintaining accurate product codes within the company's internal management system, ensuring data integrity and efficient inventory tracking.
  • Raising and processing purchase orders, liaising with suppliers to ensure timely order placement and effective procurement operations.
