About The Position

This position involves identifying and sorting different kinds of metal, specifically ferrous metals, according to customer specifications. The role also includes general clean-up duties such as sweeping and shoveling around conveyors, and other responsibilities as assigned or required. Safety is paramount, requiring the use of all necessary PPE and adherence to company safety standards. Failure to comply may result in termination.

Requirements

• Must be able to interact with customers and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Some mechanical aptitude necessary.
• Will use hand tools for minor repairs.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30-50 lbs and 100+lbs on 2-person lift.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Prior experience operating heavy machinery preferred but not required as we will train candidates.
