About The Position

Virginia MetalFab is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to fill the role of Sorter. As a Sorter, you will sort, transport, pack, remove, and dispose of materials safely and efficiently. Virginia MetalFab was founded in 2002 to provide the equine industry with high-quality manufactured and customized products. Since then, the company has diversified to provide fabrication and manufacturing services to companies in a wide range of industries, including energy, utilities, transportation, and technology. Requirements

HS diploma or GED
Ability to frequently lift and/or carry 51 – 100 lb.
Ability to frequently push and/or pull 26 – 40 lb.
Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.

Responsibilities

Sort various metal materials by following written or verbal instruction/work orders.
Transport, pack, remove, and dispose of materials as regulated by law.
Assist in performing inventory on material.
Assist in unloading and loading for customers.
Operate forklifts and other power equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
Work with others during the process and complete an item or task together with others; often rotating tasks and deciding how to maximize their efficiency.
