About The Position
Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves 11 counties in Florida. The organization's mission is to change lives through the power of work by transforming community donations into opportunities for training, resources, and support. As a member of the Apparel team, the Sorter/Hanger will gain knowledge of apparel categories and sizing, determine the quality and value of items for sale, provide quality assurance by checking for imperfections, and price, size, and tag apparel and linens. The role also involves hanging salable goods on racks.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience in a retail environment preferred
- Detail oriented
- Enjoys working independently
- Affinity for apparel brands and styles
Responsibilities
- Obtain a general knowledge of apparel categories and sizing
- Determine quality and value of items to be sold in the store
- Provide quality assurance by checking items for imperfections
- Price, size, and tag apparel and linens according to type
- Hang salable goods on racks
