About The Position

Float as a Sonographer to perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures at multiple Ascension Clinics in the Central / South Austin area to provide high-quality images for physician interpretation and direct patient care in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) and OB/GYN. Deliver precise anatomical visualizations by expertly maneuvering transducers and adjusting equipment to identify significant pathology, structures, and clinical artifacts. Maintain rigorous safety standards and quality control protocols to ensure ultrasound equipment functionality and full compliance with healthcare regulatory agencies. Support the interdisciplinary team by performing routine and specialized imaging studies while managing departmental workflows and maintaining sterile procedure environments.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Vascular Sonography (ARRT-VS) also accepted.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted.
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.
  • 2+ years of Women's Health Sonography experience
  • MFM + OB/GYN experience
