About The Position

As a Sonographer, your skill, compassion, and professionalism help create a reassuring experience for patients during ultrasound and biopsy procedures. You play an important role in helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their care journey. Using your expertise and sound clinical judgment, you will determine appropriate imaging techniques and contribute to high-quality patient care. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited (by AMA or ARDMS) school of ultrasound or equivalent experience is required
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdomen and OB/GYN (ARDMS AB OB) required.
  • The Sonographer may start with either AB or OB certification, and has one year to obtain the other. If proof of registration is not received within one year of assuming the Sonographer job, the position will be vacated by the incumbent.
  • Current state license in Sonography is required for all employees who perform this job in the state of Oregon.
  • BLS Certification: American Heart Association, Health Care provider level BLS and AED Certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • ARDMS Breast certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of all equipment.
  • Gathers complete documentation of all pertinent information to provide accurate and timely service to customers.
  • Provides for personal and patient care and safety using professional judgment in accordance with written standards so there is no injury to self or others.
  • Practices professional communications, appearance, conduct, punctuality, attendance, and attitude that lead to physician, patient and co-worker respect and confidence.
