UVA Imaging is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services in a fast-paced, supportive outpatient setting. UVA Imaging has 4 outpatient centers located in the Charlottesville VA area. Requirements
- Graduate of an approved program of diagnostic sonography.
- Registered through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) or ARRT (S).
- For IDTF centers, OB, Abdominal, or General certification is required upon hire, and RVT certification is required within one year of hire.
- Non-IDTF centers require RVT certification along with OB, Abdominal or General within one year of hire, where applicable.
- Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic General ultrasound examinations
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain imaging processes clearly and compassionately
- Ensure accurate image acquisition and documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers regarding imaging findings
- Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to safety standards
- Deliver exceptional patient care and maintain professionalism at all times
