Sonographer - Full Time - Outpatient
About The Position
UVA Imaging is seeking a Sonographer I to join their patient-focused team. This role is full-time, working a dayshift schedule at 415 Ray C. Hunt Drive, Suite 1100 Charlottesville, VA 22903. The position offers full benefits and a competitive compensation package including base pay, shift differential pay for qualifying shifts, and a quarterly bonus program. Requirements
- Graduate of an approved program of diagnostic sonography.
- Registered through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) or ARRT (S).
- For IDTF centers, OB, Abdominal, or General certification is required upon hire, and RVT certification is required within one year of hire.
- Non-IDTF centers require RVT certification along with OB, Abdominal or General within one year of hire, where applicable.
- Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year experience as a licensed Sonographer preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Operate sonographic equipment to acquire appropriate diagnostic images.
- Provide patient care and support during examinations.
- Document patient information and examination results.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals.
