About The Position

The role of a registered diagnostic medical sonographer involves independently performing standard and complex ultrasound examinations and assisting physicians in the course of ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.

Requirements

  • Holds and maintains current certification from the ARDMS
  • Has a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR card
  • Experience with General, OBGYN, abdominal, small parts and vascular ultrasounds
  • Knowledge of anatomy and basic pathology associated with exams being performed
  • Knowledgeable of the ultrasound equipment and ancillary accessories needed to perform basic and special procedures
  • Knowledge of personal computer, RIS, HIS, and PACS
  • Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job

Nice To Haves

  • Breast and neonatal ultrasound experience preferred
