About The Position
The role of a registered diagnostic medical sonographer involves independently performing standard and complex ultrasound examinations and assisting physicians in the course of ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.
Requirements
- Holds and maintains current certification from the ARDMS
- Has a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR card
- Experience with General, OBGYN, abdominal, small parts and vascular ultrasounds
- Knowledge of anatomy and basic pathology associated with exams being performed
- Knowledgeable of the ultrasound equipment and ancillary accessories needed to perform basic and special procedures
- Knowledge of personal computer, RIS, HIS, and PACS
- Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job
Nice To Haves
- Breast and neonatal ultrasound experience preferred
