About The Position

The Sonographer-Maternal Fetal Medicine performs all examinations offered by the department in accordance with department protocols, providing safe, age-appropriate patient care. The role requires the knowledge and ability to obtain high-quality diagnostic studies safely and to perform job functions independently. The Sonographer performs a wide range of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in using equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Responsibilities also include setting up imaging equipment and positioning patients for procedures. The employee must be dependable, accountable, cooperative, and flexible with work hours to meet department needs.

Requirements

• One year of experience.
• Maternal Family Medicine ultrasound experience.
• Experience with EPIC and Viewpoint.
• Experience with GE and Philips ultrasound units.
• BLS, ARC-BLS, or BLS-I certification.
• ARDMS Registered Medical Sonographer or ARRT-S Sonography credential.
• Must be dependable, accountable, and cooperative.
• Must be able to perform job functions independently.
