About The Position
The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally, the technician is proficient at scanning small parts, including thyroid, breast & scrotum, along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
Requirements
- 1+ year minimum experience required.
- A.R.D.M.S. or ARRT for Ultrasound vascular registry required.
- BLS required.
- Vascular registry (RVT) required.
- General US studies experience required.
Responsibilities
- Perform abdominal, pelvic, and transvaginal sonograms.
- Conduct scans of small parts such as thyroid, breast & scrotum.
- Assist with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
