About The Position

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will complete all functions necessary to perform quality echocardiograms, stress echoes, and in some locations, vascular studies. This role is required to travel to rural clinics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• ARDMS or RVT Certification
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
• A valid driver’s license- must be willing to cover rural clinics
• BLS or ACLS (Will need to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of experience in the Cardiology field
• One (1) year of experience as an ultrasound technologist.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient care by performing echocardiogram procedures, educating the patient on the process and answering any questions they may have.
• Demonstrates proficiency with the use of ultrasound equipment and associated procedures.
• Routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently.
• Appropriately acquire echocardiographic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician.
• Assures accuracy data for clinical reports, demographics and billing information for physician reports.
• Shows a high degree of judgment and skill in use of sonographic equipment.
• Ensures that equipment is constantly functional and maintained for immediate use.
• Maintains records and reports on equipment and procedures performed.
