About The Position

The sonographer is responsible for delivering quality patient care by performing optimal renal, scrotal, penile, and female pelvic ultrasound studies in a fast-paced specialty environment. The role requires producing optimal image resolution and accurately completing diagnostic assessment for each ultrasound study in a high patient volume setting. The sonographer must consistently manage workload efficiently with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm, exhibiting sound critical thinking skills to ensure high-quality patient ultrasound studies, prioritize responsibilities, and communicate with ancillary staff clearly and concisely. The position involves using independent judgment to deliver quality patient care while simultaneously managing workload efficiently.

Requirements

  • Certificate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Two years of sonographer experience
  • Strong working knowledge of abdominal and pelvic anatomy and pathology
  • Active license in American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), with specialty physics and abdomen/small parts

Nice To Haves

  • Associates/Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • 3+ years of sonographer experience
  • Previous experience in a Urology/Gynecology outpatient and/or hospital setting
  • Working knowledge of Konica Minolta Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) The Exa™
  • Working knowledge of eClinical Works or similar Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Gynecology: ARDMS specialties in OB/GYN
  • Urology: ARDMS specialties in Abdomen/Small Parts
