About The Position

The Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasounds at a fertility clinic, supporting patients throughout their fertility journey through attentive patient care and accurate examinations. The role includes transvaginal and pelvic ultrasounds, obtaining measurements and calculations of female anatomy, and communicating pertinent findings to medical staff. The position is part-time, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with weekend and holiday rotation. The primary location is Reading/Wyomissing, with weekend and holiday rotation at the Bryn Mawr office.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Sonography program.
• RDMS certification in OB/GYN.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in an OB/GYN or fertility practice is strongly preferred.
• Ultrasound experience in reproductive medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the room and ultrasound machine for diagnostic testing.
• Review the patient chart and other pertinent information before testing.
• Explain testing processes and procedures to patients and answer their questions.
• Perform appropriate diagnostic tests in a timely manner.
• Obtain measurements and calculations of female anatomy during detailed ultrasound examinations.
• Communicate pertinent ultrasound findings to medical staff concisely, completely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Document results in the electronic medical records system.
• Stock linens and keep rooms neat and orderly.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Comply with applicable regulations, accreditation standards, laws, company policies and procedures, protocols, standard operating procedures, and safety policies.
• Help provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff and comply with approved safety standards.
• Perform ultrasounds including follicular counts, saline infusion, transvaginal, and pregnancy sonograms.
