Performs routine and advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures at an intermediate to beginning specialist skill level. Responsibilities include performing various ultrasound techniques and examinations such as abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, obstetric and gynecology scans, small parts and neonatal head scans, vascular exams, and assisting with interventional procedures. The role also involves scheduling cases, positioning and transferring patients, selecting proper technical factors and equipment, maintaining equipment, preparing documentation, and utilizing the PACS system. Specific to WellSpan Medical Group/Maternal Fetal Medicine, the role includes directing patients to rooms and obtaining vitals. Common expectations involve demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the life span, assessing and interpreting age-specific data, providing direct patient care, and demonstrating a commitment to safety by complying with regulations, reporting errors, and participating in safety initiatives. The position also requires maintaining policies and procedures, enhancing professional growth, maintaining records, providing outstanding customer service, fostering teamwork, practicing fiscal responsibility, and supervising/assisting students.
